PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a constitution for monitoring abnormality of a control microcomputer in a control device for an elevator. SOLUTION: In the control device for the elevator, the control microcomputer recognized abnormality of lifting action of the elevator by a signal from an abnormality detection circuit during operation of the elevator and stops operation of an electric motor and a brake through an electric safety circuit. The control device for the elevator is provided with the control microcomputer 1 for outputting a pulse signal with an interval of a predetermined time when the elevator carries out normal action; and a timer relay circuit 5 for detecting existence of abnormality of the control microcomputer by measuring a time interval of the pulse signal and outputting the detection result to the electric safety circuit.
