<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice output system capable of reducing the amount of communication data while lightening the load of processing on a terminal device and a server device used for the system. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion server 2 receives information of electronic mail, a web site, etc., through a mail server 1 and a communication network 4 such as the Internet, converts text data included in the received information into symbolized and/or numerized pronunciation data, and transmits the pronunciation data to a mobile telephone device 3 connected through a communication network 5 including a base station together with the information.
