PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling apparatus which can realize a change of vehicle direction at a contact with an obstacle in an inexpensive device mechanism. SOLUTION: The traveling apparatus is equipped with two-wheeled vehicle 1 with the two-wheel drive, traveling by means of a pair of wheels 13 arranged side by side, and an elastic repulsion body 2 arranged so as to protrude from two-wheeled vehicle 1 towards the front side which shows repulsion at a contact with an obstacle and makes the vehicle bounce back and forth and right and left. The elastic repulsion body 2 in the state of simple harmonic vibration turns the two-wheeled vehicle 1 around at the contact with obstacle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
