The unit is assembled of the ventilated brake disk (5) encompassed by the caliper (4) and two laterally positioned brake pads (1) comprising a holding element (2) and the friction surfaces (3) acting on the brake disk (5). Each of the holding elements (2) is provided with several projections pressed into the material from the back in order to interlock with the material of the friction area (3). A circular groove and a ring-shaped elevation at each of the projections facilitates a safe connection. In a second version depressions are formed into the surface of the holding elements (2).
