A fully transposed composite superconductor of the Roebel bar type is produced. The superconductor is formed from combined subconductors. The process step for forming the subconductors, which are being configured with a lateral projection into a region of a neighbouring subconductor, is separated from the stranding step. Carrier strips, which are coated with the superconductive material, are used as the conductors.
