PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent missing of a previous image due to duplication of a file name. SOLUTION: An image is copied from a storage medium 1 to an image file 4. Date item of a schedule management database 3 is searched using the recording date data of an image file to be copied as a search key. When a registration time band including the recording date is detected, a decision is made whether a storing file name has been registered in the relevant time zone of the schedule management database 3 or not.
