PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work management device, and a work management method, securely capable of measuring the position of a work tool, and easily conducting management to a capillary after work. SOLUTION: The position of the capillary 2 to which a baffle 11 is inserted is detected by a position detecting device 12, and its position information is transmitted to a management control device 16. The management control device 16 recognizes the coordinates position of the capillary 2 based on the received position information, transmits it to tube position display parts 15a and 15b, and displays the coordinates position in itself.
