PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain coater capable of manufacturing a coating product of sufficient quality by removing air with a web at high-speed coating and stabilizing a curtain film. SOLUTION: In this curtain coater for coating the continuously traveling web with a coating liquid, an air jet injection device positioned upstream above a collision point of the curtain film to the web and injecting air upstream and an air injection pipe preventing the curtain film from being pulled to the injection device side is auxiriarily provided. A closed space is formed by a partition wall member surrounding the web from an air-injecting blowing out hole top provided on the air injection pipe to a vertical side near a roll positioned upstream above a coater head to turn the web from vertical to horizontal. A width direction air suction device parallel to the width direction of the web and an end side air suction device near both ends of the web are provided in addition to the air jet injection device in the closed space to make a negative pressure area.
