PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device for floor that can efficiently remove both hair of animal companions caught among the nap of a carpet and sand set deep into the carpet. SOLUTION: A mesh member 12 is coiled around a rotating brush 3 provided inside a body case 2 of a suction device 1 by rotating the rotating brush. When the mesh member 12 is coiled the ends of brush bodies 15-17 project outside through the net to scrape the hair of companion animals that are caught among the nap of the carpet by the mesh member 12 and to rake out sand and other dust set deep inside carpets, etc. using the brush bodies that projects through the net of the mesh member 12.
