<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-ion secondary battery with excellent energy density and cycle life property. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium-ion secondary battery according to this invention comprises a positive electrode having a first collector and a positive electrode active substance layer formed in the first collector, a cathode having a second collector and a negative electrode active material layer formed in the second collector, and electrolyte containing non-aqueous organic solvent and lithium salt, wherein at least one of the first and second collectors is a hard high polymer molecule film having a surface formed with a metal film. Thus, it is possible to provide a rechargeable lithium-ion battery excellent with in energy density per weight and cycle life property. Specially, the battery life can be increased by 10% through 99% by adjusting thickness of the metal film formed on the hard high polymer molecule film.
