<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit which permits reliability and safety of operation upon the maintenance of the developing unit, with respect to the developing unit provided with a developing part and an attachment part of toner supply cartridge for supplying toner to the developing part, and an image forming apparatus provided with the developing unit. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing unit which is slidably guided by a guiding means fixed on an image forming apparatus main body and is attached to a photoreceptor loaded on the image forming apparatus main body while being elastically energized at all times, a finger insertion hole in the horizontal direction of inserting a finger in the direction separating the developing unit from the photoreceptor is formed on a casing of the developing unit and an upper plate of the finger insertion hole is formed in the horizontal direction so as to be held by the inserted finger and the thumb. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
