The carbon brush guide (5) is made of aluminium which is covered with an insulating aluminium oxide layer (6,7) at least on the side facing the multi-layer carbon brush (1), e.g. an artificially produced eloxal layer with a thickness of between 5 and 30 microns, used for absorption of heat radiation. Also included are Independent claims for the following: (A) a current transfer device with a carbon brush guide; (B) a carbon brush for a current transfer device; (C) a dynamoelectric machine; (D) a manufacturing method for a carbon brush guide.
