ENCODER CIRCUIT AND A/D CONVERTER CIRCUIT

An encoder circuit the encoder output of which can be made minimum for all possible combinations of thermometer codes. The encoder circuit is so logically constructed that the center value in the range where one or more encode values corresponding to one or more boundary positions between "0" and "1" of the inputted thermometer codes are distributed is outputted as an encode value. An A/D converter is also disclosed.
