CALL ANSWERING SYSTEM AND METHODS

A call answering system (200) and methods for use on a mobile network is provided. In an illustrative implementation, a call answering system operable on the mobile network comprises a call answering engine (215) and one or more instruction sets (225) to instruct the call answering engine (215) to process calls on the mobile network according to a selected call paradigm. In an illustrative operation, the call answering engine allows mobile phones (135, 140, 145, 150) to be categorized in an answering group (130) such that if a call is made to one of the mobile phones of the answering group (130), all of the mobile phones (135, 140, 145, 150) of the answering group (130) are notified and are allowed to answer and/or join the call.
