PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera system for preventing a decrease in security level caused by an unjust operation via a network. SOLUTION: A monitoring camera system 100 includes a server 10, a camera 40 for photographing an object, and a switch 50 for generating a signal corresponding to an input operation by a user. In the server 10, a usage condition of the monitoring camera 100 is shifted from a first usage condition for carrying out a prescribed monitoring operation by the camera 40 to a second usage condition for releasing the prescribed monitoring operation and subjecting the camera 40 to a controllable state by the user under the condition that a signal generated from the switch 50 is inputted to the server 10.
