The laser welding (15) of two parts takes place with a formed molten pool (11) of metal as the laser moves from left to right along the seam (17). The process is controlled on the position of center of the laser relative to the geometric center of the formed molten pool. The geometric shape is continuously measured using a CCD camera (19) feeding data to control computer (20).
