<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a useless adjustment carried out due to the fact that a degraded ink cannot be adjusted to be outputted in the same color even when an ink quantity is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of detecting the degradation of ink utilized in a printing device, a patch is printed by image data for outputting a predetermined target color for each color of the ink. A color value of the printed patch is subjected to colorimetry, and a color value of the target color and the measured color value are compared with each other.
