<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which efficiently updates a γ-correction table. <P>SOLUTION: When a screen is set, N kinds of screens selected through an operating part 12 among M kinds of screens prepared in the image processing apparatus 10 are made usable as usable screens to set a flag for use ON in a screen setting table 51. Then, when specified conditions for updating the γ-correction tables are satisfied on the selected N kinds of screens, only γ-correction tables corresponding to the N kinds of screens are automatically updated.
