<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a body fat reduction-stimulating agent which can daily continuously be taken and exhibits a safe and sufficient effect. <P>SOLUTION: This body fat reduction-stimulating agent is characterized by comprising L-carnitine and a Nelumbo embryo bud extract. The agent has a highly sufficient body fat-reducing action and is safe. The body fat reduction-stimulating agent preferably has a form which enables the intake of L-carnitine at a dose of 5 to 5,000 mg/day and the Nelumbo embryo bud extract at a dose of 0.1 to 1,000 mg/day converted into dry Nelumbo embryo.
