A clamp device and a clamp method for a heat-treated article enabling heat-treatment operation by suppressing the deformation of the non-heat treated area of the article in a waveform, wherein a quenching area which is a heat treated area longitudinally extendedly formed in a part of a raised part (11) and a non-quenching area which is a non-heat treated area longitudinally extendedly formed in the other portions of the raised part (11) and flange parts (13) are disposed in the slender heat-treated article (10) in which the longitudinally extending raised part (11) is formed are arranged parallel with each other in the lateral direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The flange parts (13) are clamped by a first clamp means (22) and second clamp means (23) disposed in the longitudinal direction. The first clamp means (22) is a tight clamp means fixedly holding the flange parts (13), and the plurality of second clamp means (23) are loose clamp means loosely clamping the flange parts (13) by allowing the heat-treated article (10) to be curvedly deformed such that the heated quenching area is positioned on the projected side.
