PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrooptical device and electronic equipment in which an optical film is not damaged and neither crimple nor undulation is generated. SOLUTION: An electrooptical device is provided with a display panel 1, a lighting device 2 which is fixed to the back of the display panel 1 and illuminates the display panel 1, and an optical film 3 which is arranged between the display panel 1 and lighting device 2, and the optical film has a tab 3a for adhesion and is fixed by bonding the tab 3a for adhesion to the peripheral edge of the display panel 1.
