PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable for which recyclability is improved by providing a sheath in a 2-layer structure on the outer periphery of a cable core. SOLUTION: This invention is the optical cable 100 for which an inner layer sheath 131 and an outer layer sheath 132 in the 2-layer structure are provided on the outer periphery of the cable core 110. Even when fiber pieces from nonwoven fabric on the side of a function layer 120 are stuck to the side of the inner layer sheath 131, by smoothly peeling at least the side of the outer layer sheath 132 from the side of the inner layer sheath 131, the recyclability is improved.
