FIELD: dimensional treatment of butt zones of structures of different materials, possibly joined by soldering or welding. ^ SUBSTANCE: treated anode surface of blank is subjected to cold hardening by means of movable tool-electrode on surface portions of metal having less diffusion rate. After drawing tool-electrode apart by value equal to inter-electrode gap, all treated surface is subjected to diffusion. Duration of diffusion process is controlled according to achievement of maximum electric current value.
