<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation in which, if an apparatus is concentrated with printing jobs requesting priority output within a predetermined time, a printing job having high priority cannot be preferentially outputted. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is provided with a print waiting list (12-1) for storing an output order of printing jobs based on the assigned priorities and performing printing on the basis of this list. The apparatus has a priority setting means (12-4) for assigning priorities to entered printing jobs, and a storage section (12-2) for storing the number of accepted outputs for indicating the number of printing jobs to be assigned for each priority. If the number of registered printing jobs having the same priority as that of a printing job requesting preferential output is less than the number of accepted outputs in the print waiting list, the setting means registers the jobs in the print waiting list in an order of priority of requiring printing jobs.
