PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminating device for a plastic optical fiber capable of suppressing the deflection of a heating plate caused by thermal expansion. SOLUTION: The terminating device for a plastic fiber is provided with a heating plate 12 which has a flat surface to terminate the end face of a plastic optical fiber and a heating plate fixing fixture 10 which is used to fix the heating plate and to connect to a device main body. The heating plate fixing fixture fixes the heating plate so that the plate is deformed to a certain extent toward the outer peripheral direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
