PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composite image preparing method and device and its program for making it easy for anyone to prepare a composite image by combining a plurality of raw element images. SOLUTION: Mosaic processing is performed to a sample image S so that a mosaic image M constituted of a plurality of blocks can be formed, and representative colors are respectively decided for a plurality images P, and the images P whose colors approximate to the colors are selected and successively attached on the respective blocks of the mosaic image M so that a composite image G can be formed. Thus, it is possible to easily prepare the excellent composite image G without spoiling the color scheme or image of the sample image S only by attaching the images P to those respective blocks based on the approximating colors without considering the balance of the finished composite image G as a whole.
