PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional molded article, by which a functional component is hardly lost by volatilization in melt molding, the functional component such as kneaded catechins is fixed to be water resistant and is not easily lost in water washing, and functionality such as antibacterial property and deodorization, therefore, continues for a long term, and to provide a preparation process thereof. SOLUTION: The functional component (a) having antibacterial property or deodorization property, which is selected from a group comprising the catechins; saponins; tea leaf powder; and a tea leaf extract, and a ceramic component (b) are mixed with a resin for molding (Y), preferably, in a form of complex particles (X) obtained by blending the components (a) and (b).
