<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording paper sheet dehumidifying device capable of efficiently dehumidifying a recording paper sheet by the heating in a short time while suppressing occurrence of deformation of the recording paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The dehumidifying device reduces the water content by bringing a recording paper sheet P into contact with an outer circumferential surface of an endless belt-like film member 20 which is stretched between a plurality of support rolls 31-33 and rotated thereby and heating the recording paper sheet, and comprises a heating means 40 (31) to heat the film member 20 at the predetermined temperature before bringing the film member into contact with the recording paper sheet P, and pressing members 51 and 52 to press the recording paper sheet P against the film member side when bringing the recording paper sheet into contact with the film member 20 heated by the heating means 30.
