<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having strong antifungal activity and useful for preventing and treating fungous disease of a human or an animal. <P>SOLUTION: A benzamidine derivative expressed by general formula (R<SP>1</SP>is amidino which may be protected or substituted; R<SP>2</SP>is H, a halogen, an alkyl which may be substituted, a cycloalkyl or an alkoxy; R<SP>3</SP>is H, an alkyl which may be substituted or amino which may be protected or substituted; R<SP>4</SP>is H, hydroxyl or an imino-protecting group; X is a lower alkylene which may be substituted; Y is a divalent cyclic amine residue which may be substituted; Z is an alkylene which may be substituted; and W is imino or the like) or its salt is useful as an antifungal agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
