PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber splicing device capable of surely preventing the leakage of a laser beam thereby enhancing safety and also improving the precision in an optical connection. SOLUTION: An optical fiber receptacle 600 is provided with a housing 610, a receptacle shutter mechanism 650 and sleeves 660. The receptacle shutter mechanism 650 is provided with shutter doors 651 which are opened and closed in accordance with the insertion and extraction condition of optical fiber plugs 200, hinge springs 652 and rotation stop pines 653. The surfaces of the connection tip sides of the shutter doors 651 are provided with guide marks 651A which are facing to the external from the connection ports while the shutter doors 651 are closed. The guiding marks 651A are arranged on the same side of guiding grooves 631 and the side, where the guiding grooves 631 are provided, is observable from the position of the guiding marks 651A while the shutter doors 651 are closed.
