PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heat fixing apparatus which can be efficiently and safely operated by adopting a means for performing control to supply power within the range of suppliable maximum power and decreasing the temperature of a coil at an early stage, and an image forming device with the same mounted therein. SOLUTION: In the induction heat fixing apparatus including a conductive heating roller that is heated by an induction current, an induction coil composed of a winding wire for generating magnetic flux to be supplied to the conductive heating roller, a core divided into a plurality of parts in the direction of the length and a support for supporting them, a high frequency power source for supplying a high frequency current to the induction coil, and a temperature detecting means for detecting the roller temperature of the conductive heating roller, the high frequency power source comprises a regenerative current detecting means and a power regulating means, and a control means is provided to control the power to be supplied to the induction coil on the basis of a detection result of the regenerative current detecting means and a detection result of the roller temperature.
