<p>Method for determining the volumetric specific heat of a material by embedding an elongated heat source of a defined length, through which a current flows in a material to be tested. A heat source is used to inject an impulse type current of a defined duration as a heating pulse into the test material. The temperature maxima at differently defined separations resulting from the heat pulse are measured. An independent claim is made for a device for determining the volumetric specific heat of a material sample in which the differences between temperature maxima measured with temperature sensors distributed along the length of the sample are determined by an evaluation unit.</p> |
