PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel wall surface cutting apparatus which can cut away deteriorated portions of a tunnel wall surface down to a predetermined depth. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the tunnel wall surface cutting apparatus, a bracket 11 is arranged on a distal end of an arm 8 which is extended from a work vehicle 1, and a mounting flange 12 mounted on the bracket has a casing 13 extended from the tip thereof. Further a pair of laterally extending shafts are protruded from a distal end of the casing 13, and a cutting drum 14 is mounted on one of the shafts while a guide roller 40 is mounted on the other shaft. The cutting drum is rotatable by a driving source which is arranged in parallel with a proximal end of the casing 13, and has a cutting pick 30 on a peripheral surface thereof. The guide roller is smaller in diameter than the cutting drum 14. Then the guide roller 40 is pressed onto the existing tunnel wall surface, and carries out cutting of the tunnel wall surface to the predetermined depth by using the wall surface as a guide wall. Further the guide roller 40 is rendered detachable and therefore the guide roller 40 different in diameter is selectively applicable to the cutting apparatus, which makes it possible to cut the wall surface to a different depth.
