The valve controls the flow of liquid in an infusion pipe, having a pressure-equalisation chamber fitted in the pipe and contg. a float. The top of this works against a first seat, so as to shut off the flow of liq., and the chamber includes means resisting penetration by bacteria, and counteracting pressure fluctuations. The float can be arranged to work against a second seat at the bottom so as to prevent air penetrating into the pipe.
