PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device by polishing an adhesive and an optical fiber jumping out of the tip face of a through hole, to eliminate the adhesive by simultaneously polishing both end faces of a ferrule with a minimum polishing margin. SOLUTION: In this polishing device by polishing the adhesive and optical fiber jumping out of the tip face of the through hole, the ferrule is inserted in a ferrule guide having a slightly larger hole than the outer diameter of the ferrule, and polishing machines abutting on both end faces of the ferrule are arranged.
