PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bean plant-pulling and harvesting machine which prevents that the root portions of bean plants are wound up and accumulated on a soil scraper 15. SOLUTION: This bean plant-pulling and harvesting machine for nipping and upward carrying the stems of the bean plants with a holding and carrying device 13 to pull out the stem roots of the bean plants, and dropping soil adhered to the step roots 7b with the holding and carrying device 13 during carriage with a soil scraping rotator 28 which is placed below the holding and carrying device 13, has a rotation central line in the longitudinal direction and is rotated on the rotation center is characterized in that a transmission case 30 for supporting the soil scraping rotator 28 and rotating and driving the soil scraping rotator 28 on the rotation axis is placed on the front side of the soil scraping rotator 28.
