<p>A motor driven transmission operating unit in which mountability onto a vehicle is enhanced by lowering the height from fixing plane (A) of a transmission (21). A striker (6) is fitted, movably in the axial direction and not relatively rotatably, over the outer circumference of a shift shaft (4) supported rotatably in a housing (2). A ball nut (26) is fitted over a ball screw (20) arranged in parallel with the shift shaft (4) and the protrusion (6b) of the striker (6) is engaging with the groove (26a) thereof. A slide block (38) is supported by two guide rods (36) extending in parallel with the shift shaft (4), and the protrusion (6b) of the striker (6) is engaging with the groove (38a) thereof. Preferably, the block (38) moves as the striker (6) moves in the axial direction, and a select sensor (40) detects the select position of the striker (6) through the position of the block (38). The shift shaft (4) and the ball screw (20) are arranged in a plane parallel with the fixing plane (A) of a transmission (21).</p> |
