<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a printer and a facsimile having high energy saving performance, where heat discharged in the image forming apparatus and an attachment (unit) constituting the image forming apparatus is recovered and reutilized as electric energy by utilizing a thermoelectric conversion means. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus is equipped with a supplied paper carrying means for carrying transfer paper from a paper supply part, an image forming means for forming an unfixed image, a fixing means for performing the fixing of the transfer paper on which the unfixed image is formed by heat, and a carrying means for guiding the transfer paper to the downstream side of the fixing means in a transfer paper passing direction, and is equipped with a 1st thermoelectric conversion means as a means for the thermoelectric conversion of high-temperature discharged heat and 2nd and 3rd thermoelectric conversion means as a means for the thermoelectric conversion of low-temperature discharged heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
