<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket capable of obtaining a sure mounting feeling while securing the durability of vibration resistance and shock resistance under a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp socket is provided with a socket body 1 having a socket opening 10 insertion-coupled with a lamp base 47 formed with an engagement part 12 at an outer periphery and a locking part 7 locking the engagement part 12, a center electrode 2 in contact with a center electrode part of the lamp base 47, an outside electrode in contact with an outside electrode part of the lamp base 47, a push-up member 5 in contact with the lamp socket with the lamp socket 47 in an insertion-coupled state with the socket body 1, and an elastic body 6 supported to the socket body 1 and depressing the push-up member 5 in a direction in which the lamp base 47 comes off.
