A footrest device adapted to change the attitude of the footrest and fix the changed attitude in both attitudes, a first attitude in which the surface for massaging the lower limbs is turned to the front and a second attitude in which a lower limb mounting surface is turned to the front. The footrest device comprises a pair of right and left support members (3, 3) projecting forward from the front of a chair (2), a footrest (7) pivotally supported between the support members (3, 3) for rotation around a transverse shaft (4) and having a lower limb massaging section (5) in one surface and a lower limb mounting surface (6) in the other surface capable of mounting the lower limbs (64), and an attitude change mechanism (8) disposed between the support member (3) and the footrest (7) to enable the footrest (7) to change its attitude between a massaging attitude in which a lower limb massaging section (5) is turned forward and a rest attitude in which the lower limb mounting surface (6) is turned forward. |
