<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which conducts at least one selected from thinning, miniaturization and the restraint of the deterioration of characteristics even if the device is applied to lasers of many kinds of wavelengths including a blue laser, and also provide an optical disk device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is provided with; a first optical unit which emits light having a first wavelength; a second optical unit which emits at least one kind of light having a wavelength longer than the first wavelength; a light receiving means which receives light reflected from an optical disk 1; a correction means which corrects the spherical aberration of the first wavelength; an optical means which leads the light of the first wavelength and the light of the wavelength longer than the first wavelength into nearly the same optical paths; a condensing means which condenses the light from the optical means; and a beam diameter expansion means which expands a beam diameter disposed between the condensing means and the correction means.
