PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a comparatively long delay time which occurs due to troubles present between data transmission via a second interface 37 and data reception during transmission of data packets received by a wireline connection via a first interface 30 (for example, an IEEE1394 interface) and the second interface 37 (for example, a HIPERLAN/2 interface) designed for radio transmission of data, and which should be bridged with a buffer memory established appropriately. SOLUTION: The method of the invention provides a means capable of reducing a maximum delay time further. According to the invention, processing required for a received IEEE1394 bus packet is performed for each section, immediately after the received data packet arrives. A required long processing time does not exist, after the complete number of bus packets contained in a transmission frame are received. Accordingly, a possibility for losing time slots reserved at a next transmission frame is reduced considerably, and a buffer memory for bridging the delay time can be made small correspondingly.
