OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTING DEVICE AND ITS CONSTRUCTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connecting device which is free of a light leak when unused and to connect an optical fiber at a construction site by using an optical fiber plug of simple constitution to improve construction work efficiency. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connecting device 1 comprises: the optical fiber plug 3 which fixes connections of optical fibers of an optical fiber 22 already wired at a construction site; and an optical fiber receptacle 2 which has at its rear part a plug connection part where the optical fiber plug 3 is connected and at the front part a connector connection part for connecting the optical fiber connector and is equipped with a cover closing a connector connection opening when no fiber connector is connected at the connector connection opening of the connector connection part.
