PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in troubling whether or not to bring an umbrella, when getting no weather forecast about a destination and a time of coming home through a TV or a radio before leaving home. SOLUTION: This umbrella is characterized in recognizing a probability of precipitation based on AMEDAS information on an own house area and AMEDAS information on the destination, and determining and displaying the necessity/non-necessity of bringing the umbrella. As for the positional information on the present position and the destination, this umbrella acquires a station name code getting on/off from an IC built-in commuter pass and acquires the positional information on a getting-on area (the own house area) and a getting-off area (the destination area) from an address of the station. This umbrella acquires the AMEDAS information of the respective areas based on the positional information and displays the necessity/non-necessity of the umbrella. This constitution allows the user to determine whether or not to bring the umbrella at an entrance without getting the weather forecast of the destination and the time of coming home through the TV and the radio before leaving home.
