Cigarette packaging manufacturing method in which at least a pre-cut folded part or coupon is to be added to each packet. The coupons are produced in a coupon manufacturer (16) and at its output formed into stacks in a storage magazine. The coupons are marked according to their intended final use, especially with a barcode, and a magazine is then transferred to a packer (13) for combining the coupons with the cigarette packets. An independent claim is made for a device for handling additions e.g. coupons or tax stamps in a cigarette packaging machine.
