CONTENT ACQUISITION METHOD

It is possible to reduce the processing load when content data is provided by a content providing device. According to the content providing addresses and data size information corresponding to the content data acquired from an acquisition use information providing server (5), the division start position and the division end position of the content data are determined and distributed/transmitted as division portion request information together with the content identification information to content providing servers (6A to 6N). The division portions transmitted from the content providing servers (6A to 6N) are received and the content data is restored. For the content providing devices, the content data and its division start position and division end position are specified. Only division portions having data size significantly smaller than the content data are transmitted, thereby reducing the processing load by the content providing devices.
