<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fractionation device capable of always keeping the distance between a sample plate and a probe tip constant, when dropping a droplet onto the sample plate. <P>SOLUTION: A proximity sensor 4 for measuring the distance between the probe 2 and the sample plate 8 is provided on the side of the probe 2. The sample plate 8 is loaded on a stage 10 and moved in the vertical or the horizontal direction. The stage 10 is connected to a control device 12 and its movement is controlled by the control device. The control device 12 performs feedback control of the stage 10 so that a measured value by the proximity sensor 4 becomes a set value, moves the sample plate 8 upward, when dropping a droplet from the probe 2, to thereby shorten the distance between the probe 2 and the sample plate 8, brings the droplet 6 into contact with the sample plate 8 and performs fractionation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
