PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rovide a manufacturing method of a pneumatic tire capable of improving vulcanization trouble in the pneumatic tire wherein organic fiber cords low in intermediate elongation are used in a belt reinforcing layer, and the pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: At the time of molding of a green tire, the belt reinforcing layer 10', wherein reinforcing cords (e) comprising organic fiber cords of which the intermediate elongation at the time of a load of 67 N becomes 5.5% or below after vulcanization are wound substantially in the peripheral direction of the tire, is arranged between a belt layer 8' and a carcass layer 4'. The carcass layer 4' is diametrically expanded in a toroidal state so that the carcass layer 4' so as to be arranged in a diameter of 97.5% or above of the diameter at the time when the belt reinforcing layer 10' is diametrically expanded in a mold and the belt reinforcing layer 10' is subsequently wound around the outer periphery of the carcass layer 4'. Next, the carcass layer 4' is diametrically contracted in a diameter contraction ratio of 10% or below and the belt layer 8' is laminated to the outer periphery of the belt reinforcing layer 10' to mold the green tire.
