PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for granulating a sintering raw material for iron manufacture capable of suppressing the amount of a binder to be added so as to be lower than the required amount of a binder to be added when granulating the total sintering raw material for iron manufacture at a time, improving granulating properties even in the case only fine powder is used in a selective granulating stage, and capable of realizing the sufficient productivity of sintered ore. SOLUTION: In the method for granulating a sintering raw material for iron manufacture containing powder iron ore, after a selective granulating stage where a part of the sintering raw material for iron manufacture is beforehand subjected to granulating treatment, there is a stage where granules obtained by the above stage are mixed with the remaining sintering raw material for iron manufacture. In the selective granulating stage, granulating treatment is performed using a high polymer compound having at least one group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, a sulfonic group and their salts and/or particulates with a mean particle diameter of≤200μm.
