PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe heat-accumulation agent free from the leakage of oily substance caused by the deterioration with time by polymerizing a monomer component in a heat-accumulating oily substance thereby including the oily substance in the polymer in a specific state. SOLUTION: A monomer component is polymerized in a heat-accumulating oily substance (preferably pentadecane as a paraffin) preferably in the presence of an oil-soluble radical polymerization initiator to obtain a polymer containing the oily substance to lower the fluidity of the oily substance even in a state liquefied by phase change. The polymer preferably has a crosslinked structure. The crosslinking of the polymer is preferably carried out e.g. by the polymerization of (A) a monomer having one polymerizable unsaturated group and (B) a crosslinking monomer having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups. The component A is preferably a 1-30C alkyl (meth)acrylamide, etc., and the component B is preferably divinylbenzene, etc. |
